  • The significance of adult attitudes, values, beliefs and expectations in relationships with children
  • The role of effective guidance for the promotion of pro-social behaviour
  • The role of specific communication techniques for interacting with young children
Module 3:
  • The significance of observation for a professional early childhood educator
  • The elements of the “process” of observation
  • Observation and assessment tools and techniques
  • Ethics related to observing and sharing / recording information
Module 4:
  • The importance of assessment after observation
  • Professional responsibilities as it pertains to observation and assessment
  • Different approaches to assessment and screening
